In this short article, you’ll discover how to use your brain to succeed.
Here’s why,
I taught SS1 Further Maths during NYSC.
There were two classes, SS1A and SS1B.
I remember this one bright student, Stella.
She was the brightest in all of SS1.
She always came out on top during tests and exams.
And the rest of the class was far below her…
It wasn’t even a competition.
She somehow knew how to give the teacher exactly what they want.
And she was damn good at it.
During my last term in that school, 3rd term,
During a test, I asked them to draw a flow chart of their activities before coming to school.
This is a simple test.
All you have to do is think about your day before you got to school and write it down, using arrows to show how you go from activity to activity.
For instance, in my case,
I wake up
Say my prayers
Brush my teeth
Have my bath
Wear my uniform
Eat breakfast
Come to school.
Simple.
They’ll have to write each step in boxes and use an arrow to point from the first activity to the second, from the second to the third, and so on. (Like it is above)
She got the lowest score in class while the rest got perfect scores.
The test was the simplest one I ever gave that class.
All they had to do was THINK!
But Stella was used to following instructions to the latter that she thought I expected some fancy answer.
She was great at vomiting what the lecturer wanted,
But she couldn’t think for herself.
This is the predicament of human beings.
And if I go into this one, this email will be long AF.
So I’ll just skip it and move straight into the lesson of today.
Yes, there are many sales letter templates out there you can steal from.
But is it advisable to copy what they wrote word for word?
Hell no!
Structure in your sales letter is important,
But you become unique when you think for yourself.
After your research, think about your BIG IDEA.
How can you differentiate your product from the rest?
Don’t parrot everything you read back to your prospect because it may not resonate with them at all.
That’s why many sales letters fail helplessly.
The greatest predicament of human beings today is that they just don’t think.
If you want to write the type of sales letter that’s unique, gets the job done, and separates you from the mesh of parroting copywriters and entrepreneurs…
Think for yourself.
And dare I say it…
If you want a good life, one you won’t regret when you grow old…
THINK FOR YOURSELF! (See, I can’t even let it go)
That’s it for today.
This is how to use your brain to succeed.
